Could a small circle of friends change the world?

Jesus started with a small circle of six men who all grew up in the same small town on the frontier of the Roman Empire.  The very first two men to follow Jesus were Andrew and John, who were followers of the prophet John the Baptist.  When they first met Jesus, it was the testimony of their mentor that prompted them to follow after him.

Andrew was eager to invite his older brother Peter to meet Jesus, and John did the same with his older brother James.  Later, Jesus connected with Nathaniel and Philip, and this circle of six formed the core group that would later grow to be a Circle of Twelve disciples.
